Depressed

I realize that I may be slightly depressed these days. That's probably why I am easily irritated. I seem to take offense at any statement I came across these days. Strange.

I just e-mailed the chairman of Penn ACLU, telling him how his stupid articles helped George Bush got re-elected. I also thundered during today's mid-week Quaker worship, telling Quakers in my congregation that instead of Quakers, they really are Ranters (a 17th century sect which preached moral relativism). I am in a pretty angry mode these days. I don't quite understand why.

Aside from anger, I'm also suffering from muscular ache and chronic tiredness. These are all symptoms of depression. Also, I don't get to sleep these days till 3 or 4 in the morning.

Maybe I do need some rest. Maybe it's time for me to take a break. After all, it's Thanksgiving, isn't it?
