The Folk scene
You wouldn't believe how much I'm into Folk music these hot humid days. Thanks to my good buddy Andy who introduced me to the acoustic guitarist John Fahey the world of the 1960s Folk scene has been opened to me. The funny thing about these 1960s Folk artists though was how Neo-Classical (and "scholastic") they really are. The earlier ones like Carolyn Hester were a little more traditional, though later ones like Joan Baez and non-vocalists like Fahey were definitely influenced by Classicals.
